      LUNCH BOX

In warm weather freeze bread, make a sandwich then wrap.  It will thaw by lunchtime and acts as an insulator.

Also, freeze small cans of fruit juice to pack with lunches.  it also acts as an insulator, and is thawed by lunchtime.
     QUICK LUNCH

SLICED GREEN PEPPER RODS

FRUIT

Good Breakfast

You should always eat breakfast.  It's the most important meal of the day.  When I wake up, I am really hungry.  Here's a good idea:

Yogurt

3 small fruit pieces

a scoop of cereal

top it off with some raisins.

and there you have a delicious and nutritious breakfast!

      Vegetables are good for you.  You should eat 2-3 servings a day.  They give you strong bones and teeth.  They are also important for your skin and eyes.

But good snacks are fun too.

SNACKING GETS A BAD NAME, BUT NOT ALL SNACKS ARE BAD FOR YOU.

BABIES EAT EVERY FEW HOURS WHEN BORN, AND AS THEY GET OLDER, THEY STILL NEED TO EAT MORE OFTEN.

BECAUSE SMALL TUMMIES CAN'T HOLD MUCH, THEY CAN'T HOLD ENOUGH FOOD NECESSARY TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR GROWING BODY AND ENERGY NEEDS.

EATING SIX TIMES A DAY IS NOT UNNATURAL, AND SO SNACKS CAN BE GOOD FOR CHILDREN.

BUT THERE ARE GOOD AND NOT SO GOOD SNACKS.  NANNY ALWAYS TRIES TO FIND GOOD FOR US SNACKS...I WILL SHARE SOME OF HER IDEAS WITH YOU.

How about a graham cracker sandwich?

***peanut butter
***marshmallow creme, or mini's

Put it all together.... so tasty

Cut a length of cucumber into logs, dip into creamy Italian dressing...

How about some trail mix?
     Croutons
     Small pretzels
     Raisins
     Nuts
