How many times a day do you have to repeat the same instruction?
Getting children to listen and respond to commands is not easy. When you give a command do you present it as a question?
**"Would you mind picking up your toys for me?" is not as effective as, "."Time to pick up your toys"
**Don't send directions from another room. Eye contact is very effective.
**And try not to give too many requests at once. "Pick up your toys and put them in the toy box," is more simply understood.
**Above all be patient and consistent
